Danny Peterson is a Technical Staff Member in the Network Planning and Technology group at Verizon.  He specifies all testing and characterization of the Verizon fiber plant, including all optical test equipment.  He is responsible for the Verizon FOC program.  He is an internal advisor on optical technologies for Verizon and works with vendors in the development of new technology and the integration of test capabilities.

Danny received his B.S. in electrical engineering, and an M.S. in Physics from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas.  Danny is a member of The Optical Society of America and a senior member of the IEEE.  He is a registered Professional Engineer for the state of Texas.
